October is offically being renamed to Rocktober. Why? Only because Rocktober is going to rock, quite literally.

You see on the 6th I get to see Matt Nathanson and Matt Wertz for a couple bucks, and then the following weekend get to go out and drive around in the new MX-5 for free and also tear it up in a nice RX-8. The week after that I get to go abuse someone else’s car in a nice pretty Lexus.

And while it’s not in Rocktober it is right after but then I get to see Copeland, Melee, and The Spill Canvas and possibly see Autumn to Ashes and Boy Sets Fire the next night [though I’m not sure if I want to go see them, I simply might because I while I’m not a huge fan of theirs, I have heard they put on a good show live]

Finally the other band that really gets me excited about seeing them is fellow Virginians Mae coming a week later. While I got to briefly see them when they played with Weezer/Foo Fighters it wasn’t quite near enough, and I think they’re a band that’s better suited to a smaller venue.

Basically I’m psyched as all hell that I’m finally going to be able to see some good live acts. Fuck I just realized something, if I go to London I’ll be out of the country the week Copeland and Autumn to Ashes come to town. Fuck. Sadly I think London > Ft.Lauderdale anyday of the week.
