Sometimes, and only sometimes do I really hate being superstitious. I say that becuase tonight halfway through eating a nice and pleasant dinner I realized today is the day before a match. And nowadays any day before we have a game to play I have to wear my 03/04 away jersey in order for us to win. I have to wear it because after we lost to Manyoo earlier in the year for our first loss in 49 games the team was in a funk, we couldn’t win against teams we should’ve crushed and barely escaped with draws against halfway decent opposition. One day I wore the away jersey before a game and suddenly we looked good again, I wore it for one or two more games and again we looked ok. Then I stopped wearing it, and the next day what happened? Liverpool came out of nowhere and beat us with a last minute goal by Mellor. And from the on I’ve been wearing it before matches [except for the Bolton game, that was just me being forgetful] which is why I had to wear it today because tomorrow we play Manyoo.

Needless to say I did change into it as soon as I realized it, but I literally dropped what I was eating to run upstairs and change it.
