The bat and home

I finally got off my lazy ass and went and saw Batman Begins. Mostly because I was bored and had nothing better to do, so I figured why not spend it watching a movie. If you haven’t seen the movie, don’t highlight this next section, because I don’t want to spoil anything. I hadn’t heard much about the movie, only that there was Scarecrow in it. After reading Batman for a while and of course, seeing the cartoon series I was worried how they would handle it. But I have to say they did it really really good. Finally I felt like the series went away from being so fucking corny it was retarded, to a bit more serious and believable. Plus Christian Bale comes across as a believable Batman, I think because he does the role in a similar fashion as Michael Keaton. Hopefully they’ll keep him around and they’ll use this movie as a springboard for the rest of the series. Obviously they used the Joker card as a way to leave the door open for a sequel, if they’re smart they’ll use that door. But who knows nowadays.

Now that that’s over with back with the normal entry. Oh wait there is no normal entry.

Actually I lied, there totally is. This week I spend $150 bucks buying a flight back home for our family reunion and you can’t believe how psyched I am to be going home for a little while. Mostly because I want to eat me some Arties and Sweetwater. My cousin was correct in saying that going out to eat down here was ridiculous. It’s retarded simply because there aren’t any decent places to eat that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Plus I have a feeling that even if I went to one of those restaurants that cost a shitload of money they wouldn’t even be worth it, because the food wouldn’t be that good.

Plus I get to see DC United vs Chelsea at FedEx, hopefully Chelski will only field a bunch of scrubs and we’ll kick the shit out of them. It’ll also give me a chance to boo Mourinho in person.

Of course on the other hand it’ll be nice to see the family again. I’ve never quite understood how other families function when everyone hates each other. I guess because in our family we like everyone and there really isn’t anyone in our family who’s not liked. I mean ok sometimes certain members of the family get talked about behind their back, but it’s not like we ignore them all together or anything. Usually the family reunion is when everyone comes together, drinks somewhat, and just has a good time. It used to be held in my Uncles house and the tradition was to dump someone in their pool while fully clothed. I got it one year, so did most of the other cousins. This year will be different since we’re renting out a park area for it. I hope that the venue change doesn’t affect how much fun it is.

Aaaand I’m out.
