London and other things

As I’m sure everyone knows now about the 4 bombings in London on different tube stations and a double-decker bus. It sucks that it happened again anywhere, let alone in a town such as London. But thankfully it looks like the death toll is relatively low, but it’s still causing havoc with the tubes and trains all not running in the morning. However it being England they’ve already got the trains running again within the city, and the tube is getting ready to get open. Which to me I think is a good thing, because it shows that they’re not going to let some weak-willed terrorists actually succeed in attempting to cause widespread havoc.

The really weird thing to me is that the Regents Square station that got bombed, was one I used a lot when I was visiting in London. I guess it feels sort of odd to think that if it had happened when I was there I could’ve easily been on the tube at that time.

Thankfully all the people I’ve met/known from London through the Arsenal have all reported back that they’re ok and the majority of their families are as well.

Here I was going to write an entry on how things were looking up and have been generally pretty decent. While they are still that, it just feels slightly odd. Odd that now it seems as if the terrorists will simply continue hitting major cities at random times from now on, and we’re almost helpless to stop them.

And that sucks big donkey balls.
