Boom Boom!

It was interesting for once to not have to worry about either getting my shift covered for the 4th, or praying that I got out early enough to truly enjoy blowing the hell out of things. Which I’ve come to realize is yet another perk of having a normal job, you’re going to have off for the major holidays.

As per usual I did a pretty half-decent job of blowing the hell out of things. By the end of the night at the party I was at, I got a nice round of applause from everyone for putting on a half-decent show. What was amusing was the people across the street who let fireworks off from probably noon, to about 11pm. I have no idea why, because they had some pretty neat ones that got wasted simply because they were lit off in the daylight.

What was amusing to me was getting an email from my mother saying how the kids on our street asked if I was going to be around for the 4th since it’s sort of our street’s tradition that I’m the guy who gets the good stuff and blows things up good. It’s nice to know that your legacy will live on even if you’re not there I guess.

So I hope everyone blew things up real good, and hopefully none of the things that got blown up were anywhere on your personage.
