Oddities

Sometimes you have one of those days where you go “What the fuck happened?!” and today was one of those.

I mean it’s one thing to have your best friends family all over in your house because they can’t go in theirs because of redoing some flooring, that’d be plenty weird for most people. But no, that’s not even the beginning of the oddities of today.

Today started off odder than hell because I woke up this morning not in my bed. Instead I was in the bed of a manager from work with her little dog licking my cheek. Sure I had maybe thought this thing might have happened a while ago, but hadn’t pursued it because she seemed aloof. Guess I was wrong, not that I mind being wrong, it was just semi-suprising. Then to go from that, to coming home to see your friend passed out on your couch when you told him he could actually pick one of the spare beds, was a bit more supsiring. I dunno about anyone else but I’d go find a bed instead of a couch anyday.

Again that’d be enough for most, but no I’m not done. His family then proceeded to come over here, complete with two dogs in tow because of the simple fact they’re stuck in a hotel room and being trapped in a place that tiny with all those people and animals just sucks.

The final icing on the cake of today is the simple fact I took my car in to get it’s warranty checkup. I was told when I first made the appoitment that it’d be an hour, then when I dropped it off I said I didn’t have to wait and the guy said a few hours. By a few I’m thinking 2, maybe 3. Oh how wrong I was, not only did it take longer than 2 or 3 it took closer to 7 to get my car back. I guess I’m spoiled from dealing with the huge Ford dealership with Stumpy, and then with the nice and competent Shortline dealership when I was in Denver. I mean it’s one thing to take a while, it’s another to get the keys to your car and find it’s crammed into this tiny parking lot where it’s blocked in by some other car from the dealership. I think it’s time the fucking dealer saved some cash and build a bigger dealership so shit like this doesn’t happen.
