I spent last night in Annapolis seeing my sister work the lights for a dance troupe called Footwork [I think that’s their name] and I have to say I wasn’t looking forward to it. Mostly because I had a shitty day and simply wanted to go out with some friends and drink, I mean who doesn’t want to drink after getting into an accident earlier in the day? Yea you know you would want to too.

Nonetheless I said I’d go with the rest of my family a few weeks ago, so I went. And thankfully I’m glad I did, sure I can’t dance really to save my life, but watching the tap and STOMPesque dance routines made me enjoy it. But it was definitely odd to read through the program and see my sister referred to, mostly because to me she’s always my older ‘quiet’ sister. The same one who would fall asleep on the couch everyday after school, I mean she slept so much at one point I thought she was more closely related to cats, than our parents.

I just hope in a few years she’s working with some awesome band doing their lighting so I can hit her up for backstage passes and other freebies.
