Tom Petty and being heartbroken

I forgot to mention the other day that I got to see Tom Petty on Thursday. I was due to hang out with a friend that night only we had nothing planned, when she got gifted with some tickets to the concert that night about 20 miles north of here. While we couldn’t make it early to see the Black Crowes, it was still definetly worth it as now I can add to my list of bands I’ve seen live.

While Tom isn’t my most favorite musician ever, it was definetly a good show and nice to actually see live music again. Living in DC you get spoiled by being able to see a lot of different bands come into town, and usually get to see them in some awesome venues [like the 9:30 club, The Black Cat, etc]. Down here in South Florida unless you’re really really into some shitty hiphop you don’t have too much of a choice in seeing bands. But when a good one does come into town you have to jump at the opportuinity and make the most of it. Which is why I plan on going to see Say Anything come July 2nd in West Palm because hopefully that’ll be more like a ‘normal’ concert to me. By normal I mean in a small-ish bar, with a good atmosphere and an even better live performance.

Also interesting is that slowly but surely I can see that more and more people are visiting here, and then returning the next day. Which I like, but I’d also like it more if people commented more than they are but oh well. Come on you shy folks, I promise I won’t bite, hell I’m pretty sure I’ll respond pretty damned quick to whatever you feel like telling me!

Also no one’s still figured out my little ‘secret’ I put in most of my entries nowadays
